Violence in Khartoum

“Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection.” (Sahih Muslim)

The brutal massacre on June 3rd sent shockwaves around the globe, with thousands affected by the violence and over 100 Sudanese men and women losing their lives. The bodies of protesters and civilians are still being found in the Nile river after this vicious massacre.

Our brothers and sisters have staged peaceful protests, and been met with brutal acts of violence and depravity. Beatings, tear gas attacks and the sexual assaults on women are the horrors Sudan now faces.

We stand with them as family, and as fellow seekers of justice and peace.

Help Sudan

Faced with an economic crisis in 2018, the prices of bread, fuel and other essential items in Sudan sky rocked to new heights. Living conditions are deteriorating each day, and in aftermath of the massacre, the Sudanese people are left in the dark about their livelihoods, their futures and their safety.

With people struggling to afford basic necessities, food basket donations are crucial to helping these people in their desperate time of need. Penny Appeal’s Sudan charity is taking the necessary steps to prepare food baskets for the displaced people and starving families in Sudan. Donate to our Sudan crisis appeal to prevent families in Sudan from going hungry in this dire time.
