Istiaq Hussian, 37, is limbering up for a climb to Mount Everest's Base Camp in aid of Penny Appeal's Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal.
Britain's Got Talent entrant, Don the Whistler, and his wife Thelma, have kindly donated £1,600 to Penny Appeal's Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal. This generous donation will build a house for victims of the Pakistan floods and will be dedicated in memory of John and Brenda, Thelma's brother and sister-in-law.
A Bradford-based film-maker has decided to take on the ultimate challenge in the name of charity. Twenty-eight-year-old Atif Mahmood from Lidget Green, Bradford will be one of 12 people hiking to the Base Camp of Mount Everest. This extreme expedition is being organised by the charity Penny Appeal and is in aid of victims of the 2010 Pakistan Floods.
The Mind Body & Spirit Charity Fair, which took place at Bradford Playhouse on Saturday 17th September, has raised a total of £1007.15 for Penny Appeal.
Thanks to the generosity of Penny Appeal’s supporters, the charity has raised a total of over £65,000 in its Ramadhan fundraising drive.
