Penny Appeal's Feed Our World campaign has been an overwhelming success, capturing the imagination of donors and exceeding expectations.

Penny Appeal supporter Chris Marshall is halfway through his year-long challenge to raise £12,000 to help us provide 12 clean water wells in 12 countries in 2012. We pulled on our trainers and caught up with Chris to find out more.

Penny Appeal has launched Feed Our World, a global campaign which unites ten aid organisations with the aim of providing meals for at least 10,000 orphans and displaced families in ten countries during the last ten days of Ramadan 2012.

Over the course of 2012, we are asking people to support our Clean Water Appeal by Running for Water! Anyone can support our the appeal; just sign-up for you local fun-run, 10k or Marathon, set-up a JustGiving page and join our fund-raising team!

It's the time of year when most of us resolve to lose weight, quit smoking, or get back into the gym, but one Swansea man has made a resolution that he hopes will make a difference to thousands of people around the world.

Everest Base Camp trekker, Ishtiaq Hussain, is inviting supporters and friends to the Deaf Eid Festival at Walsall Deaf Centre on 19th November 2011. Ishtiaq has organised this fundraising event to help him reach his target of £3,500 ahead of his extreme trek in December in aid of Penny Appeal's Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal.

Thanks to the generosity of Penny Appeal’s supporters, the charity has raised a total of over £65,000 in its Ramadhan fundraising drive.

On Saturday 17th September 2011 Bradford Playhouse will host the Mind Body & Spirit Charity Fair to raise funds for Penny Appeal.

Charity Champion, Naeem Raza, will be at the helm as Penny Appeal takes to the airwaves on Sunday 14th August. From noon until iftar (the fast-breaking meal at sunset), Penny Appeal will take over Unity FM, Birmingham’s local Muslim radio station.

Penny Appeal's first ever radio show was broadcast live on Wednesday 27th July on Pakistan FM Bradford. The radio station kindly offered Penny Appeal the two-hour slot from 5 to 7pm in support of its Everest Base Camp Challenge.

Penny Appeal has teamed up with Sisterhood Helpinghands of Birmingham to present a Family Fun Day from 11am to 6pm on Saturday 30th July 2011. The event, in aid of Penny Appeal’s Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal, will take place at The Muath Trust, located at the Bordesley Centre in Camp Hill.

Everest Base Camp trekkers, Muzzamil Khan and Irfan Bostan have produced a second awareness-raising video about their extreme challenge this December in aid of Penny Appeal’s Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal.
