Deaf Eid Festival - 19th November 2011
Everest Base Camp trekker, Ishtiaq Hussain, is inviting supporters and friends to the Deaf Eid Festival at Walsall Deaf Centre on 19th November 2011. Ishtiaq has organised this fundraising event to help him reach his target of £3,500 ahead of his extreme trek in December in aid of Penny Appeal's Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal.
The Deaf Eid Festival will feature a charity auction and raffle with fantastic prizes. There will also be a barbecue, offering chicken burgers, beef burgers, veggie burgers, kebabs, wraps and more.
The fun kicks off at 2pm and continues until 10pm. Tickets cost £10 for an adult and £5 for a child (5-14, under 5s are free) and can be purchased at the door.
The Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal aims to raise £40,000 in order to rebuild homes which were destroyed in the 2010 Pakistan floods. Ishtiaq is one of eight volunteers who will be trekking to Everest Base Camp in from December 2n-18th this year to help the flood victims.
