The Family Fun Day organised by Sisterhood Helpinghands of Birmingham on 30th July was a great a success, raising £1,379 for Penny Appeal's Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal.

Chef Ifran Ashraf is set to trek up Mount Everest's foothills to raise money for Pakistani flood victims.

Shaazia Usman will join local husband-and-wife team, Irfan Iqbal and Zakia Younis Iqbal, and nine other brave volunteers from across the UK on a trek to Base Camp on Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain, this December.

Charity Champion, Naeem Raza, will be at the helm as Penny Appeal takes to the airwaves on Sunday 14th August. From noon until iftar (the fast-breaking meal at sunset), Penny Appeal will take over Unity FM, Birmingham’s local Muslim radio station.

Penny Appeal's first ever radio show was broadcast live on Wednesday 27th July on Pakistan FM Bradford. The radio station kindly offered Penny Appeal the two-hour slot from 5 to 7pm in support of its Everest Base Camp Challenge.
