In the Heart of Lebanon, the Beirut Marathon Association have been working hard to ensure everyone has the ‘Right 2 Run’

Last night, Penny Appeal had the honour of attending the Yorkshire Asian Business Association (YABA) Gala Dinner as the official charity partner.

Today, on the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), may we continue to be inspired by his legacy and honour him by giving orphan children a brighter future.

Today marks the beginning of the third month in the Islamic calendar, Rabi' Al Awwal, which is closely associated with the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), an event that has brought light and guidance to millions around the world. As we enter this special month, let us reflect on its importance and consider how we can make the most of it and make a meaningful impact. 

As I finally take the time to write this account of my experience of the 3rd day here in Morocco, I find it challenging to put into words the profound impact this journey has had on me.

It’s now my third day in Morocco and as I prepare to continue delivering aid in the severely affected earthquake zones, I find myself reflecting on everything I’ve witnessed so far

The second the shocking news of the 6.8 magnitude earthquake broke, my heart felt heavy and like millions around the world I was shocked and devastated for the victims of this tragic calamity.

In a world marked by uncertainties and unforeseen challenges, one thing remains constant - the unwavering dedication and courage of emergency service workers who stand as a beacon of hope during our darkest moments. Today, on national Emergency Services Day (also known as 999 Day) we take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation for the selfless heroes who put their lives on the line every day to ensure our safety and well-being. 

In a world driven by information and innovation, literacy stands as the cornerstone of progress.

It’s been a year since the devastating floods in Pakistan claimed thousands of lives, left 8 million people homeless and left millions more lives forever changed.

Today the world comes together to celebrate the International Day of Charity, a day of compassion, kindness, and generosity.
