Winter Emergency

Cold weather kills 20 times more people than the heat.

This winter, millions of people are facing the bitter cold with little or no protection. Help us provide life-saving winter essentials to those who need it most.

Protect Lives with our Winter Appeal

Provide Winter Essentials

Penny Appeal’s emergency responders are already on the ground in Syria, Yemen, Palestine, Pakistan, Lebanon, Turkey and Kashmir with our Winter Appeal, providing warm clothing, food packs, blankets, fuel for heaters and essentials to those who are in extreme danger this winter.

As we turn up the heating and put on our cosiest coats, millions of people around the world and here at home are fearful for their lives as the cold draws in.

The Harsh Reality

  • In Syria, 6.5 million internally displaced people suffer without heating in temporary accommodation and refugee camps.

  • The worst famine, in Yemen, has left millions starving, weak and vulnerable to falling ill in the freezing cold.

  • 1 in every 3 Palestinians live under the poverty line, struggling and scraping to make it through the winter.

Protect Lives, and give the gift of warmth, donate now

Last winter YOU helped 19,867 people

A warm coat or blanket might not seem like much to us, but a simple gift of warmth has the power to transform the lives of people like little Hala.

Last winter, Penny Appeal protected 19,867 people from the cold, thanks to the incredible generosity of people like you. We travelled to remote villages to provide Pakistani people mired in poverty with winter aid. We reached Palestinians with warmth and comfort. We gifted refugee Syrian families in Lebanon and Turkey with fuel for heaters and blankets.

Your winter charity is making a real difference to people across the world – but millions more need our help, urgently. Please give what you can to protect innocent lives from danger this winter.

Your support has meant we could help over 19,000 people around the world. Thank you!
