Winter in the UK

A simple gift of warmth can protect a life this winter.

This winter is forecasted to be the coldest in 30 years, and with over 1,000 people becoming homeless everyday. Millions are in real danger of hypothermia.

This winter, as you cosy up by the fire or snuggle soundly in your beds, spare a thought for those with no warm clothing and no roof over their heads to keep out the cold.

A Penny Appeal Winter Survival Kit includes; blanket, sleeping bag, waterproof jacket, warm gloves, socks, hat, thermal top, thermal bottoms, shampoo, bodywash, toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, wipes & deodorant.

Make a difference this winter in the UK; donate a Winter Survival Kit today to help the homeless in our community.

The Big Orange Hug

Penny Appeal are bringing people together across the country, with The Big Orange Hug!

We’re holding inclusive, festive events in Wakefield, Coventry, Birmingham and London, providing hundreds of homeless and disadvantaged people with medical care, food, winter clothes, games, hairdressers, pampering stations and entertainment.

“This service is very much needed,” said Dawn, a formerly homeless woman who attended The Big Orange Hug in Wakefield. “It connects people, it gets them out of poverty, it gives them warm food – and it gives people that little bit of hope.”

Find out more about The Big Orange Hug here, and donate now to help us keep these events going and reach even more disadvantaged people across the UK.

UK Winter Appeal

Winter in the UK can be a harsh and unrelenting time, so this year help those who are struggling with the cold by supporting our winter appeal. You can help the poor by giving the gift of a winter donation or the gift of your time to let them know that they are not on their own during this difficult season.

Last year we were able to provide over 6,000 hot meals, delivered hundreds of food parcels, supplied 5,000 Winter Kits to the homeless and helped thousands of people in need right here in the UK; this year, let’s try and help even more people struggling with poverty.

A simple gift can protect a life, spread the word and spread the warmth this year.
