In the Atlas Mountains, winter settles in as early as November and can persist until April. These freezing months are a daunting prospect for those already struggling. The earthquake has left 380,000 people in a terrifying position, facing a winter of uncertainty.

The situation is dire for the most vulnerable in society, with 3.7 million children requiring essential humanitarian assistance.

The challenges are particularly great for women, girls, and disabled individuals, who face unique hardships during this harsh season.
