LADIES IFTAAR PROVIDES LIFE-SAVING MEALS TO SYRIAN REFUGEES

Broadcaster and presenter Lauren Booth expertly hosted two ladies-only iftaar dinners, which were held in Manchester and Bradford on the 4th and 5th of July respectively. Raising funds for Penny Appeal’s Syria Emergency Appeal, these uplifting and motivating Ramadan events attracted around 150 attendees each.

The very special guests included Hafizah Ismail, founder of Children of Jannah, and Kristiane Backer, who was interviewed about her journey to Islam and subsequent Ramadan experiences. Entertainment followed from Pearls of Islam, as well as a three-course iftaar dinner and prayers.

Funds raised at the event will be used as part of Penny Appeal’s Syria Emergency Appeal to help provide life-saving meals to displaced Syrian refugee families.
