Support Your Neighbours at Home
“He is not a believer who fills his stomach while his neighbour goes hungry.” (Muslim)
While we prepare for the joy of Eid, it is a heartbreaking reality that right here in the UK, thousands of families are struggling to put food on the table. With the rising cost of living, fresh, nutritious meat has become a luxury that many local families- including refugees and those in emergency housing- simply cannot afford.
Why Give Qurbani at Home?
- Feeding the Vulnerable in Our Own Communities This year, your UK Qurbani stays right here at home. We are working across the country to ensure that the most vulnerable members of our society can celebrate Eid with dignity.
- Tackling Food Poverty: Your donation provides high-quality, fresh meat to families who are often forced to rely on food banks and cheap, processed staples.
- Supporting the Most At-Risk: We focus on supporting elderly individuals living in isolation, low-income households, and refugees who are struggling to rebuild their lives in the UK.

Why should I give my Qurbani in the UK this year?
Giving your Qurbani in the UK is a powerful way to support your local community. While we often think of poverty as something far away, thousands of families in our own backyard are currently facing food poverty due to the rising cost of living. By donating locally, you ensure that vulnerable neighbours, including the elderly and refugees, can enjoy fresh, high-quality meat on Eid, fulfilling the Sunnah of caring for those closest to you.
Who receives the Qurbani meat in the UK?
Penny Appeal works with local partners and food banks across the UK to identify those most in need. This includes low-income families, survivors of domestic pearl, homeless shelters, and refugees. Our goal is to ensure your Qurbani 2026 reaches people who would otherwise go without a nutritious meal during the blessed days of Eid al-Adha.
Is Qurbani in the UK Shariah-compliant?
Yes. Our UK Qurbani program is strictly Shariah-compliant. We ensure that all animals are healthy, meet the age requirements, and are sacrificed humanely after the Eid prayer according to Islamic principles. We prioritise transparency and quality, so you can fulfil your religious obligation with total peace of mind.
How does my donation help tackle UK food poverty?
Fresh meat is one of the most expensive items for a struggling family to buy. By providing fresh Qurbani meat, you are offering essential protein and nutrition to children and vulnerable adults who often rely on low-cost, processed foods. Your donation provides more than just a meal; it provides dignity and relief to those facing financial hardship in the UK.
Can I give Qurbani in the UK and also abroad?
Absolutely. Many donors choose to split their sacrifice- giving one Qurbani share in the UK to support their local community and another share to a country like Pakistan, Palestine, Sudan or Somalia where the need is also critical. This allows you to maximise your impact across the global Ummah while looking after your neighbours at home.
