In the blessed lands surrounding Palestine, places like Lebanon and parts of Syria, generations of farmers have relied on olive trees to sustain their families. But years of conflict, displacement, and economic hardship have left many without even the means to plant new roots. By gifting an olive tree, you’re offering more than a seed in the soil. You’re giving a vulnerable family the tools to grow a livelihood, restore a tradition, and cultivate hope for years to come. Olive trees are resilient, long-living, and generous, producing fruit for decades. So too is the reward of this act - your Sadaqah Jariyah!
Why Give an Olive Tree?
Allah (ىَالَعَتَوُهَانَحْبُس) Himself swears by the olive in the Qur’an which in itself is a sign of its deep value and spiritual importance. And the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:"Eat the olive oil and use it, for indeed it is from a blessed tree.” [Tirmidhi]
Planting an olive tree is a gift of provision, a legacy of mercy, and a form of Sadaqah Jariyah-ongoing charity that continues to benefit both the giver and receiver long after it's given."
