Hands on humanitarian aid. Frontline impact. Real change.

Make the Change Deployments offer a unique opportunity to experience humanitarian aid work firsthand, from preparing warm meals to delivering life saving supplies directly to refugees on the front line.

These deployments are designed for those who want more than awareness. They are for people who want to act, to meet the beneficiaries we exist to serve, see the realities on the ground, and play a direct role in delivering aid with dignity and compassion.

  • Participants take part in meaningful, practical work, including
  • Preparing and serving hot meals
  • Visiting refugee camps
  • Delivering aid directly to families
  • Working alongside trusted humanitarian partners

This is a programme we are proud to run regularly, creating ongoing opportunities for supporters to turn intention into impact.

December 2025 Deployment A Huge Success

Our December 2025 Make the Change deployment to Jordan was a powerful example of what this programme stands for.

Participants Arusa and Sunam from Birmingham, alongside Zain from London, travelled to Jordan for a three day humanitarian mission that brought them face to face with the realities of displacement and the difference that compassionate action can make.

Day One Serving Warm Meals with Their Own Hands

The deployment began at a Syrian refugee camp where participants prepared hot meals from scratch, personally served food to Syrian refugee families, and engaged directly with the people they were there to support.

For many, this was their first experience of delivering aid so personally, transforming donations into nourishment and dignity.

Day Two Gaza Aid in Action

On the second day, participants supported emergency relief efforts for Gaza, including providing tents and shelters funded through donations raised during our recent comedy tour.

They erected a tent themselves from start to finish, gaining a practical understanding of how emergency shelters are deployed.

Participants also packed nutritious food parcels, personally delivered aid within the Gaza refugee camp in Jordan, and physically loaded aid trucks destined for Gaza.

This hands on involvement gave participants a deep understanding of the logistics, urgency, and responsibility behind every delivery.

Day Three Humanitarian Partnerships and Hope

The final day focused on collaboration and compassion.

Participants visited the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization warehouse, saw food parcels and vital supplies prepared through Penny Appeal donor support, and learned how JHCO facilitates approximately 150 trucks of aid every week into Gaza.

They then visited children and amputees from Gaza receiving medical treatment in hospital and concluded the day by distributing toys to children in refugee camps. These toys had been personally packed by friends and family in the UK as messages of love and solidarity to Palestinian and Syrian children.

The deployment concluded not just with aid delivered, but with meaningful human connections formed.
