Second Earthquake Hits Indonesia - Death Toll: 7,000
Last night Indonesia was hit by a second earthquake, measuring a staggering 5.2 on the Richter scale. The earthquake weakens an already devastated country, and yet again spreads fear throughout its people. It has put temporary shelters and camps at risk of collapsing, leaving thousands of survivors fearing for their lives once again.
People are afraid to sleep inside, terrified that the fragile roof above their heads will collapse.
The death toll in Indonesia is rising, as thousands of people are missing and trapped in rubble, feared dead. Recent reports reveal that the official death toll has surpassed 2,000. However, with thousands still missing, the figure could more than triple and rise to 7,000.
