Muharram marks the beginning of the Islamic New Year: a time for us to look back at our achievements and failures, seek guidance from Allah (SWT), and reflect on how we can make the most of the coming year.  During the month of Muharram, our brothers and sisters all around the world come together to remember Imam Husayn ibn Ali’s (RA) ultimate sacrifice and commemorate his martyrdom. When we give Sadaqah during this month, we not only save lives but also honour the legacy of Imam Husayn (RA).  

As Muslims, it is our responsibility to reach out and help those in need. By building a well in your name or that of a loved one, you can ensure that those in need have access to clean drinking water.

This Muharram, our Thirst Relief project will be building on this incredible legacy: providing clean drinking water to people living in poverty across the globe, particularly those living in places where access to water is scarce or non-existent. The project will not only help local communities develop sustainable sources of water but also improve hygiene practices that are so important during this sacred month.
