The situation in Somalia is one of the most severe in the world, but it is simply not hitting the headlines.

7.1 million people across the country are now acutely food insecure, and 8 regions are at risk of famine between now and September 2022. This is a major catastrophe that cannot be ignored.

Rising malnutrition and high levels of food insecurity have left millions in need of urgent assistance – more than half of them are children.
