Welcome the blessed Ramadan season with our Faisal Mosque Dates Tin
Welcome the blessed Ramadan season with Penny Appeal and our new range of limited edition Medjoul date tins.
Each of our designs are collectible and four depict the wonderful architecture of mosques across the world.
Our beautiful green tin houses the celebration of a mosque which is continually voted within the top beautiful mosques from around the world. The Faisal Mosque, in Pakistan’s capital of Islamabad, broke tradition in 1976 when its construction began, in a modern architecture unknown to the world’s mosques of the time.
The name Faisal was given as a thank you to the reigning Saudi King, who gave a grant to aid its construction. Its unconventional design was based around the idea of a Bedouin tent and when built, was one of the largest mosques in the world. In addition to its magnificent main prayer hall, the mosque grounds also house a separate prayer hall for women along with a large ablution area, museum, lecture hall, library, café and a small gift shop situated near the entrance.
This wonderful dates tin is an appreciation of one of the most recognisable mosques; it contains 800g of sweet and juicy Medjoul dates, grown for generations by Palestinian farmers in the fertile pastures of Jericho – famous for its natural spring water. Rich in fibre, vitamins and minerals and packed with energy, these are perfect for the month of Ramadan and those fasting – young and old.
In addition, each purchase of a date tin will assist Penny Appeal in its vital support for projects in Palestine. Current projects include supplies of clean water, support for orphans and rebuilding of essential infrastructure such as hospitals and schools.
This year, one purchase will also contain a golden ticket, winning someone a FREE trip to Palestine!
So don’t delay in ordering your favourite limited edition date tins, only available direct from Penny Appeal as either an individual or a collectors' set.
