#TeamOrange give Syrians a warm welcome
Our #TeamOrange volunteers helped give Syrians living in Bradford a warm welcome to the community during a special event at Dixons City Academy on Thursday 21st April.
The Dixons Syrian Action Team organised an evening of food, entertainment, information and friendship, to bring together new people to the city with other residents, local businesses and dignitaries.
At the end, #TeamOrange volunteers handed out food and household packs from the Penny Appeal bus.
Ridwana Wallace-Laher, North-East Fundraising Manager, said: “It was a wonderful evening and we were delighted to be part of it. The humanitarian spirit of everyone involved was inspirational and clearly showed the generosity of the community.”
