Redditch footballers pitch in to help orphans

Dozens of footballers have taken part in a fundraising tournament to support orphan care around the world. They raised over £1,600, which will go on to care for orphans in places like Palestine, Pakistan and The Gambia through our OrphanKind programme.

The ‘Cup of Champions’ 6-a-side tournament took place in Redditch on Sunday 22^nd May, with teams from Birmingham, Coventry, Stoke, London and Loughborough displaying their skills on the pitch.

Jameel Hussain and Qasim Hafiz’s team ‘Incredibles’ took the trophy, beating the Penny Appeal ‘#TeamOrange’ players 2-0 in the final.
