Invest in Education this GCSE Results Day!
Today, countless young minds have received their ticket to their next life chapter. We’d like to extend a big orange congratulations to every single person who sat their GCSE exams, a huge well done for your efforts and time spent revising! For those who didn’t quite get the results they had hoped for, it’s okay – rest assured that there are always different ways to help you progress onto your next educational chapter, the future is bright!
Education isn’t merely a collection of knowledge, it’s a transformative force that empowers individuals, families, and entire communities. It acts as a key that unlocks new opportunities and opens windows to new perspectives. Education equips us with critical thinking skills, the ability to question our surroundings, and the tools we need to take the next steps in life.
As we celebrate the amazing achievements of our future leaders, we mustn’t forget about those who wish they were collecting their GCSE results today. In many parts of the world, children go forgotten, with no access to education and no opportunity to break free from the cycle of poverty they live in. Here at Penny Appeal, we believe in every child’s right to learn. That’s why we launched our Education First programme, an initiative which allows you to invest in a child’s future. So far, with the help of our incredible donors, we have built fifty schools in impoverished areas across Asia and Africa for children to learn local curriculums and build a future for themselves and their families.
Education First is also dedicated to providing resources that our children may take for granted. Pens, pencils, paper, and textbooks are not readily available for children in poor communities. When parents are forced to choose between a meal on the table and stationery for their child, education must come second.
Unfortunately, there are still so many children who are denied the right to an education. Could you perform this rewarding act of Sadaqah Jariyah today and contribute towards the construction of a school? Your contribution will directly impact the lives of children who have dreams just as big and aspirations just as noble as any other child’s. Together we can empower children around the world so they can also become leaders within their communities.
For our superstar students here in the UK, whether the next step is university, full time employment, or starting a business, we wish the best of luck to all school leavers in whatever the future holds.
