APPEAL RECEIVES GENEROUS DONATION FROM BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT CELEBRITY
Britain's Got Talent entrant, Don the Whistler, and his wife Thelma, have kindly donated £1,600 to Penny Appeal's Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal. This generous donation will build a house for victims of the Pakistan floods and will be dedicated in memory of John and Brenda, Thelma's brother and sister-in-law.
Don the Whistler, an entertainer, impersonator, comedian and well-known whistler, is based in Bristol and has been performing for over 20 years. Don and Thelma are also involved with local charity, the University of Withywood, which raises sponsorship to help children in third world countries receive an education.
Penny Appeal Chairman, Adeem Younis, commented: "This is a great boost to our Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal. To dedicate the building of a house for a family made homeless by the floods is a worthy and lasting tribute to a loved one, while also providing lasting support to those desperately in need. Many thanks to Don and Thelma."
