The Family Fun Day organised by Sisterhood Helpinghands of Birmingham on 30th July was a great a success, raising £1,379 for Penny Appeal's Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal.
The event, which took place at The Muath Trust, Bordesley Centre in Camp Hill, offered free admission and featured an array of activities including mendhi, face painting, a bouncy castle and Islamic calligraphy. There were also a variety of stalls offering clothes, hijabs, jewellery, toys and bric-a-brac, as well as a barbecue and various food stalls.
Penny Appeal Chairman, Adeem Younis, expressed his gratitude to the organisers: "We would like to say a huge thank you to Sisterhood Helpinghands for raising such an impressive amount of money for our Rebuilding Pakistan Appeal.
"Thanks to all their hard work and generosity, they have been able to fund a new home for a displaced family in Pakistan. Our thanks go also to the Camp Hill community for their support in ensuring the success of the Family Fun Day."
