4 Cities, 15,000 fans and 1 Superstar: Penny Appeal is Charity of Choice for Atif Aslam's UK Tour!

It was a huge honour to be the ‘charity of choice’ for worldwide superstar Atif Aslam’s UK concert tour! We joined him and over 15,000 fans in Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Wembley for a spectacular evening of fundraising, spreading awareness and of course some great live music. Rising to fame after going solo in 2004, Atif Aslam has dominated his industry and become a household name in Pakistan. He has since captivated the hearts of many across the world with his powerful voice and renowned ‘vocal belting’ technique. He went on to craft a huge selection of Sufi spiritual music, and even kickstarted his acting career!

We painted the stage orange as our dedicated volunteers spread the word of our life-saving work in Turkey and Syria after the devastating earthquakes of February 2023. Millions of people remain in desperate situations across the earthquake zone and beyond. We have been raising funds and working with partners on the ground since the disaster happened. The situation in Turkey and Syria remains critical, we are dedicated to assisting the most vulnerable of people who are working tirelessly to rebuild their lives.

Equipped with compassion and drive to make a difference, our #TeamOrange volunteers played a vital role in engaging with guests, spreading awareness about our appeal, and encouraging donations from the crowd. It is clear that music has the ability to bring people together and can be a real catalyst for change. Atif Aslam’s dedicated fans enjoyed an evening of pure talent and showed their solidarity to our cause.

Thanks to the staff, volunteers, Atif Aslam’s team and the incredible efforts of the audience in all of the 4 UK cities, the tour has been a resounding success. Not only were we able to raise funds, but we also spread vital awareness of the daily battle faced by the earthquake survivors every day. We are dedicated to continuing in our mission to improve the lives of struggling communities across the globe and these events are proof that compassion knows no boundaries.
