1. When does Trail Pursuit 2021 take place?

Trail Pursuit takes place on Saturday 29th May 2021. Bib collection will be available on Friday 28th May 3-8pm & Saturday 07:00 - 08:45.

2. Where does Trail Pursuit take place?

Trail Pursuit takes place at Brathay Hall. Address: Brathay Hall, Ambleside LA22 0HP

3. Are the races open to all levels of trail runner?

Yes. Trail Pursuit is an inclusive event for beginner & experienced trail runners alike.

4. What is the terrain like at Trail Pursuit?

A mix of terrain including hard packed forest trails, elevated fells & bridleways ways, taking in panoramic views of Lake Windermere!

5. Do you need to navigate on these races?

No, all routes are fully marked & marshalled so you can focus on the epic trail running.

6. Is there an email address where I can contact Trail Pursuit with questions?

7. Is there an age limit to enter the races?

Yes. All individual entrants for 5K through to marathon must be aged 17 or over. This is to comply with UK Athletics guidance. For the Kids 1 Mile race any age between 5 - 12 years old.

8. Can adults run with juniors?

Absolutely! Sharing the experience is fully encouraged.

9. What's included in the price of my ticket?

Chip timing, live results, friendly, experienced staff and volunteers, first aid cover, event photography & nutrition by Mountain Fuel & Chia Charge. Finishers of the races will also receive an eco medal.

Your ticket also includes post race: guided yoga, wild swim, athlete speakers & access to the sports expo.

10. Can I transfer my place to another runner?

Yes, please do this before the cut off date 21 days before the event. This is to ensure administration, timing & logistics are taken care of. 

11. I want to run for charity, can I?

Absolutely. There are two ways to run for charity: sign up and then run for your chosen charity or in some cases charities have bought bundles of tickets in advance and will be advertising on their own website.

12. What time do the races start?

Marathon: 08:30

Half Marathon: 09:00

10K: 09:30

5K: 10:00

NB: An official warm up will take place approximately 15 minutes before the start of each race.

13. Do all finishers receive a medal?

Everyone crossing the finish line will receive a Trail Pursuit: Lake District medal for the distance they have completed. These will be given out in the finish funnel area by one of our amazing community groups.

14. Are there prizes in the races?

Kids 1 mile, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon & Marathon races have a range of prizes from our very generous sponsors. Prizes are provided for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (Male/Female)

15. Will I receive confirmation of the entry into the race?

You will receive a confirmation via email after you purchase your ticket.

16. When does the post race yoga take place?

Our qualified yoga teachers will lead sessions throughout the day. Exact times to be confirmed.

17. When does the post race wild swims take place?

The wild swims will take place at staggered times throughout the day on site in the North Shore of Lake Windermere. Each race distance will have their own slot to enjoy a refreshing swim!
