What is Cycle Andalusia?

Cycle Andalusia is a charity bike ride, but it’s also much more than that.

It’s an opportunity to connect with your history, spirituality and identity.

You’ll cycle 200km across the stunning Spanish scenery of Andalusia and discover a land steeped in Islamic history. Andalusia was under Islamic Moorish rule from the 8th-15th centuries, leaving a legacy of beautiful architecture, scientific development and peaceful multi-faith alliance.

On the Cycle Andalusia tour, you will visit – amongst other places – the stunning Alhambra Palace and Gardens, the Great Mosque of Cordoba and the archaeological site of the Madinat al-Zahra, the ancient city built by the Caliph Abd al-Rahman III.

We have a lot to learn from our history; sign up to Cycle Andalusia today and pedal into our past on a mini Umrah which will change the way you think about Islam and civilisation forever.

Spaces are filling up fast for this NEW challenge – claim your space today!

A Cause Worth Cycling For

Every mile you cycle will make a difference to those most vulnerable around the world.

As you learn about Islamic history through our charity bike ride, you’ll be raising money to help the Ummah who are suffering today, through our Emergency Response appeal.

Our Emergency Response teams are experts at quickly, efficiently and compassionately helping people survive war, famine and natural disasters. The funds you raise are absolutely critical in our ability to act fast during a crisis.

Our teams are currently providing support in:

  • Syria, where 60% of hospitals are closed and 70% of all people need urgent humanitarian aid.
  • Lebanon and Turkey, where Syrian refugees are battling to survive.
  • Yemen, which is experiencing the worst famine the world has seen in this century.
  • Palestine, including Gaza, where people are living amongst terrifying conflict.
  • Bangladesh, where Rohingyan refugees who have fled persecution need support.
  • Indonesia, helping re-build homes and lives after a powerful earthquake hit Lombok.
  • Areas affected by the famine in East Africa, such as Somalia, South Sudan and Kenya.
  • Mozambique, where 1.8 million people have been devastated by Cyclone Idai.

Thanks to our Emergency Response, we’ve protected 1.7 million lives from danger in the last 10 years, Alhamdulillah! But the sad reality is that millions more people urgently need our help. You can provide that help, with every mile of your Cycle Andalusia charity bike ride.
