Join us for a six-day adventure where you’ll trek through sun and snow alike, witness breath-taking views, explore remote mountainous villages, wander through stunning souks and conquer the tallest peak in North Africa.

Standing at 4,167m tall, the summit of Mount Toubkal is the perfect trek for anyone, whether you’re kick-starting your mountaineering adventures or looking to cross an iconic peak off your wish-list. You’ll trek your way through the stunning Atlas Mountains, explore the mystic, mountainous village of Sidi Chamharouch and the picturesque town of Imlil, nestled in a green valley at the foot of Toubkal, and even have the opportunity to experience the bustling city of Marrakesh.

Climb Mount Toubkal for charity, and you’ll be raising funds for our Emergency Response appeal, helping provide life-saving aid to people in times of extreme crisis.

Penny Appeal’s Mount Toubkal charity trek 2022 will take place from 24th until 29th July 2022, including 3 days of trekking, as well as time in Marrakech to soak up a little culture and city life.

By signing up to this life-changing challenge you will be asked to raise a minimum of £2,000, to support our EMERGENCY RESPONSE campaign to help protect and save thousands of families from the devastating effects of natural disasters and conflict. There’s no upper limit to how much you can raise though, and we expect participants will go above and beyond to raise as much as they can.

You’ll leave the Mount Toubkal trek with experiences like no other, memories for life and the knowledge that you’ve done something extraordinary for hundreds of people in need.

A Cause Worth Climbing For

''Whoever relieves the hardship of a fellow Muslim, Allah will relieve them from hardship on the Day of Judgement." – The Prophet Muhammad (saw) [Sahih Muslim]

When disaster strikes, Penny Appeal are there to help. Our Emergency Response teams are experts at quickly, efficiently and compassionately helping people survive war, famine and natural disasters. The funds you raise are absolutely critical in our ability to act fast during a crisis.

Our teams are currently providing support in:

  • Syria, where 60% of hospitals are closed and 70% of all people need urgent humanitarian aid.
  • Lebanon and Turkey, where Syrian refugees are battling to survive.
  • Yemen, which is experiencing the worst famine the world has seen in this century.
  • Palestine, including Gaza, where people are living amongst terrifying conflict.
  • Bangladesh, where Rohingyan refugees who have fled persecution need urgent support.
  • Indonesia, helping re-build homes and lives after a powerful earthquake hit Lombok.
  • Areas affected by the famine in East Africa, such as Somalia, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya.
  • Mozambique and Malawi, where 1.8 million people have been devastated by Cylone Idai.

Thanks to our Emergency Response, we’ve protected 1.7 million lives from danger in the last 10 years, Alhamdulillah! But the sad reality is that millions more people urgently need our help. You can step up and help provide that help, with every step of your Mount Toubkal charity trek.
