Hiking the Pike
Scafell Pike is England’s highest mountain, at 978 metres. This one-day trek will bring you stunning memories and a notable achievement, as you trek up steep mountainsides, rocky footpaths and venture into the beautiful mountain landscapes of the Lake District.
Scafell Pike is not a hike to be underestimated with its tough terrain and challenging crags, but Team Orange is here to work with you every step of the way to make the Scafell Pike Trek a walk in the park! We’ll make sure you have all the information required to prepare you for this English giant.
This trek is a scenic 8-mile journey, with breath-taking lake views, rolling hills and a true English charm. It will take around 6.5 hours to complete this challenge, but when you’re done, you’ll have gorgeous memories and an amazing group of new friends.
Transport is provided for the Scafell Pike Trek from London, Birmingham and Manchester & Bradford. We will contact you with pick up locations and times closer to the day of our trek, so you just need to concentrate on lacing up your hiking boots and getting ready for an astounding day out.
Your registration fee includes transport and quaified Mountain Guides
Sign up for just £35 and conquer the summit this July!
To take part you will need to pay a registration fee and commit to raising a further £300 before the day. This will help build sustainable water systems and provide safe clean water.
With your help, we can bring clean water to rural communities, giving them safe water for drinking, cooking and cleaning, water for their crops and animals and the chance to break out of the poverty cycle. There’s no limit on fundraising, raise more and we can build more water solutions for you and reach more people in need..
Walk for Water Wth Penny Appeal
Every day, women and girls around the world spend 200 million hours walking to collect water.
That’s millions of hours which are damaging women’s bodies with heavy pots of water. Millions of hours where young girls are missing out on school. Millions of hours where women cannot work, or enjoy time with their families.
You can walk, so they don’t have to. Walk for Water with Penny Appeal’s Scafell Pike Challenge, and raise money to build wells and water systems in some of the poorest areas in the world.
