Bring the Mountain to You

Usually, we would be helping you to reach new heights of explorations on the Everest Base Camp Trek 2020 but due to COVID-19 this trek has been postponed until November 2021. So while we can’t bring you to Mount Everest, we can do the next best thing…

We can bring the mountain to YOU!

Join us for Everest Base Camp – The Virtual 130, a virtual challenge that will take you the distance from Lukla to Everest Base Camp, without leaving home! This virtual challenge gives you the chance to get out there and go the distance for Everest Base Camp, or just practice for the real thing next year, while raising funds for Emergency Response.

Everest Base Camp – The Virtual 130 will have you completing the same 130km distance you would face in the Himalayas but with a twist! Challenging yourself from home lets you run, walk, swim, cycle or climb the stairs to reach our virtual Everest Base Camp.

When you sign up, you have 4 weeks to complete 130km for Everest Base Camp – The Virtual 130 or if you’re feeling brave, you can take on a round trip of 260km. Track your progress on Strava as proof of your accomplishments and show the world that you can go the distance.

Sign up now to start your race to base camp!

Raising Funds and Saving Lives

Penny Appeal always strives to respond to global disasters and emergencies as they happen, but more importantly, we are always working to grow our capacity. This means delivering aid quicker, better and towards a more sustainable impact, benefitting more people than ever before.

The funds you raise for Emergency Response are absolutely critical in our ability to act fast during a crisis.

War, famine, disease, poverty & climate change have immobilised communities in Syria, Yemen, Gaza, Indonesia, Bangladesh and East Africa, and Penny Appeal need your support to be able to deploy life-saving medical aid, food, clothing, sanitation and shelter to those who've been left incredibly vulnerable.

You can do your part to help those in need of emergency aid by signing up for Everest Base Camp – The Virtual 130. Go the distance to raise funds for those in need and have a great time doing it!

Get your fundraising off to an amazing start by setting up your own JustGiving page to take online donations, which will be sent straight to Penny Appeal. You can also make the most of your fundraising and training efforts by sharing your story on social media. Don't forget to tag @teamorangepa for shares!
