1. How can I join #TeamOrange?

It’s really easy – just fill out the online form or give us a call on 03000 11 11 11. You’ll then be part of the Penny Appeal fundraising family and can start helping us transform lives by taking part in challenges, events and activities, or even joining us in the field on one of our projects.

2. What can I get involved with as part of #TeamOrange?

There are all sorts of things you could do once you’re in #TeamOrange – you could take on big challenges, help out at events, host your own activities or even join us on an overseas project. It all depends on how much time you can give and how you want to help.

#TeamOrange volunteers have climbed Mount Snowdon, done bungee jumps and sky dives, hosted all sorts of dinners and fun days, organised bag packs and cake sales, and much more! Some of our volunteers have even joined us on a trip to Africa to see our aid work in progress.

We have so much planned for the coming months, so sign up now to be part of the action!

3. When is your next big challenge?

The best way to stay up-to-date is through Facebook and Twitter as we always promote our upcoming events and challenges on there. As part of #TeamOrange, you’ll also receive our monthly email newsletter with all the latest on #TeamOrange from across the UK.

4. What kind of support will I get?

When we say fundraising family we really mean it – you’ll get lots of support from us all!We have a team of fundraising managers and co-ordinators across the UK and at our offices who are there to help with whatever you need. When you join #TeamOrange you will get to know the other volunteers in your area so you can support each other too. We also have a dedicated Facebook page where you can find out what’s going on.

That’s a lot of support! We love to talk team tactics so if at any stage you need anything just get in touch.

5. Can you give me any ideas for fundraisers?

Yes, lots! Download our #TeamOrange ideas booklet for a whole host of suggestions and take a look at our #TeamOrange Facebook page for some inspiration. Why not talk to your family, friends and work colleagues too – not only could you come up with some new ideas but you might get some donations or sponsorship to get you started, or even some help!

6. How do I help out at a Penny Appeal event?

Simply let us know which event you would like to help at by calling us on 03000 11 11 11 or emailing us at teamorange@pennyappeal.org.

7. Can I get t-shirts, posters, balloons etc for an event I am putting on/taking part in?

Of course! We can provide things like t-shirts, balloons, pens and wristbands. Give us a call on 03000 11 11 11 or email us at teamorange@pennyappeal.org to let us know what you would like.

8. What is the best way to collect donations/sponsorships money?

Many fundraisers set up an online donations page to help them collect money as this is usually easiest for them and their donors/sponsors.  You can do this on JustGiving, Virgin Money Giving or BT MyDonateAn online page is also handy for spreading the word about your fundraising – just send the link out to everyone you know via emails, on social media etc!

You can also collect cash to pay into our account at any HSBC branch, send us cheques through the post or do an online transfer. Click here for donation options.

9. Do you accept volunteers from anywhere in the UK?

Yes! Wherever you are we’d love to have you in the Penny Appeal fundraising family.
