Fundraising Manager

Penny Appeal has ambitious growth plans and to help achieve them we are recruiting a Fundraising Manager in London. Working with the London Director you will initiate, plan and manage the fundraising and volunteer activity for the charity through targeting the London and Greater London community.

 

You will create, manage and deliver a fundraising strategy, recruit, lead, develop and manage a team of fundraisers and represent Penny Appeal at campaigns and fundraising/promotional events.

 

Interested? To be considered, you will need :-

 

  • A minimum of two years’ senior level fundraising experience
  • Proven fundraising track record across all types of fundraising
  • Experience of creating, managing and developing new teams
  • Excellent networking and influencing skills
  • Self-confidence to approach donors and funders

PR & Communications Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced PR and Communications Officer to join our award-winning Charity. You will provide creative, flexible and measurable communications to meet our aims. Developing and delivering key communications through a range of channels so as to strengthen our external profile with key stakeholders, funding bodies, supporters and within the Third Sector in general.

 

Working closely with the CEO you will establish and execute the PR strategy, be responsible for managing/responding to all press enquiries and identify, build and maintain relationships with key local, regional and national media outlets.

  • A minimum of two years’ experience within a similar role
  • Proven experience in copywriting or in the PR/Media environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills

Regional Programmes Co-ordinator

Our Regional Programmes Co-ordinator’s assess, organise and deliver specific projects as directed. Monitoring, evaluation and preparation of feedback reports, etc. is an integral part of the role.

 

The Regional Programme Coordinator (RPC) is responsible for coordinating international project-related operations. Assessing, organising and delivering specific projects as directed. The RPC will manage and ensure that the projects and programmes are generating the desired results and will provide feedback to donors and other stakeholders where requested.

 

Interested? To be considered, you will need:-

 

  • Over 2 years’ experience of relevant work.
  • To be versed with current International standards and best practices for INGO’s/humanitarian relief and development agencies.
  • To demonstrate responsibility and competency of programme development, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Grant management, evaluation and monitoring skills
  • A willingness to travel overseas

Senior Social Worker 

Competitive Salary

Regular travel to Wakefield and occasional travel nationally

 


 

The Adoption and Fostering project was set up in September 2015 and is currently part-funded by the Department for Education. The project recruits adopters and foster carers (with a focus on Muslim communities) 

 

Your role will be to supervise and support regional staff with holding adoption and fostering recruitment events. Deliver training to service providers. Contribute to the project strategy and represent the project at public events. 

 

 

Interested? To be considered, you will need :-

 

  • 2 years post qualification experience in social work, or equivalent
  • Experience of Child Protection work
  • Experience of working with a range of Looked After Children etc. with disabilities/older children
  • Experienced of undertaking social care assessments
  • Ability to undertake complex assessments 
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills, including persuading, negotiating and conflict management skills 
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and alone 
  • Ability to work in partnership with other agencies 
  • Ability to implement plans to meet identified needs
  • Ability to support adopters and foster carers in working towards placement stability

Co-ordinating relevant information, interaction with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and production of accurate and compelling content will be a key elements of the role.

Events Co-ordinator

We currently have a great opportunity available to directly influence the work of Penny Appeal. As Events Co-ordinator you will help plan and produce a variety of events across the UK, including tours, dinners, conferences and fundraising events.

Production of event documentation, including risk assessments, itineraries and schedules will be a key element of the role, as will the logistical arrangements with suppliers, catering, transport, accommodation, etc. 

Interested? To be considered, you will need :-

 

  • A minimum of 12 months event planning experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends as the role demands
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise a complicated workload
  • Highly organised, with the ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use initiative
