Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Manage social media team to ensure marketing activities focusing on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Flikr, LinkedIn, YouTube and others as appropriate.
  • Ensure social media team manage each Social Media channel and that they are scheduled and filled with content in-line with organisation-wide campaigns.
  • Implement strategy including budgeting for PPC and other paid campaigns, and support PPC officer as and when needed.
  • Work with Email Marketing Coordinator to highlight best strategies including split testing and segmentation of emails.
  • Support the team with learning outcomes and the delivery of the above during busy periods, leave and absence.
  • Plan workload for campaigns, including the briefing of collateral required for all digital marketing.
  • Develop team members and the wider marketing team on best practice and introduce efficiencies to maximise ROI, along with creating service level agreements with stakeholders in the organisation
  • Create and build digital campaigns, managing online budgets accordingly, along with identifying online demographics to target.
  • Analyse the success of campaigns, translating anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the social media activities. Monitor campaign progress regularly and produce reports during and after campaigns.
  • Work with BAU and Projects/FR Marketing managers, making sure their service areas are fulfilled accordingly to plan and budget signed off by the Director.
  • Manage the overall budget for Digital Marketing, working closely with third-parties, agencies or consultants when required.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to help build the brand and reputation of the Charity, by becoming industry leading and experts
  • Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy. Stay ahead of latest trends in the digital sector and make recommendations for new strategies.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators and report on a regular basis.

 

 

General:

  • Take responsibility for developing own knowledge of marketing communications and the sector, along with keeping up to date on new developments

Main responsibilities:

Penny Appeal is an international humanitarian aid charity, which aims to relieve the suffering of poor and needy people across the world. Our growth plans are ambitious and to help achieve them, we are recruiting a Graphic Designer to design, create and manage all materials across both print and online platforms. You will work with the editorial, analytical and managerial personnel supporting them with creative content with an emphasis on creating visually appealing and creative content for both print and online campaigns.

This would suit an experienced Graphic Designer who is looking for a big challenge and would relish an opportunity to help an organisation’s achieve certain objectives, with the use of images, symbols and text.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Mapping of email user journeys and experiences whilst liaising with internal and external teams to bring about changes focused on improving retention, user experience and service.
  • Create implementation plans and flow charts clearly outlining thought patterns, which can be understood and signed off by senior management teams before implementation.
  • Take full control of the implementation cycle using the current operational platforms.
  • Feedback to senior management through reporting mechanisms and on-going recommendations.
  • Deliver and execute email campaigns to a high standard and in a timely manner, ensuring the best possible coding standards are maintained at all times.
  • Responsibility for managing the delivery of projects against agreed timelines, this can often mean working on multiple projects simultaneously, while working under pressure, with the ability to accurately record the time spent working on each project.
  • Build excellent working relationships in order to ensure our donors are receiving the best possible service at all times.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • To assist in carrying out a range of marketing activities to support the Marketing and Communications Department.
  • To produce fresh, engaging content for the website, social media and other communication channels.
  • To promote events and activities to target audiences using various channels, including digital, online and offline materials.
  • Write marketing deliverable briefs for agencies and in-house production teams and monitor the outputs.
  • Incorporate feedback on work from senior members of the team.

Role overview:

The Head of Events will strategically and operationally prepare, manage and deliver the organisations events and tours programme within the UK on behalf and co-ordinate multi departmental working to ensure well-managed, effective, and efficient events with the primary purpose of fundraising for the charity’s core programmes.

In order to fulfil the demands of this post, you will need to work flexibly in response to event requirements. Early starts will be required during tours, and evening / weekend work where necessary. There is also a requirement to be present at most of the events, which includes overnight stays away from home on occasions.

As the lead individual in the organisation for events and tours, you will have primary responsibility in the delivery and executing of Penny Appeal events. You will also line manage a team of Event Managers and Support Officers.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the Events department and its relative workstreams.
  • Project managing and executing high profile tours and campaigns.
  • Planning and delivering an events calendar that avoids.
  • Produce event business cases as well as budget preparation, management and reporting.
  • Setting and understanding the objectives of events and ensuring those are maximized through event planning.
  • Overseeing the management and delivery of events, exhibitions and conferences for the charity, including full end-to-end planning, delegate logistics and communication.
  • Bringing together appropriate teams and colleagues to deliver events.
  • Supporting other departments in their events through leadership and planning.
  • Producing and managing standard procedures and checklists for the management and delivery of events as required.
  • Work with the Marketing Department to ensure that all events and tours are supported with a comprehensive marketing strategy to reach maximum participation.
  • Researching markets to identify demand for new and existing event or partnership opportunities.
  • Cultivating relationships, networking and generating income through close working partnerships with suppliers.
  • Maintaining and developing client relationships and manage supplier relationships.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Educated to degree level with desirable focus on event management.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ event management experience.
  • Experience in s senior management position.
  • Practical knowledge of how to plan, execute, manage and troubleshoot the organisation of events.
  • Demonstrable experience of running events from conception to completion.
  • Strong project management skills and initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise a complicated workload.
  • Self-led with an ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to find imaginative and practical solutions and make well-considered decisions.
  • Proven fundraising track record across all types of fundraising with demonstrable experience in securing major gifts is an advantage.
  • Experience of managing events and tours within the Charity sector is an advantage.

  • Review the budget and communicate any changes where needed.
  • Prepare MoU and funding agreements as and when required.
  • Represent Penny Appeal as and where needed.

  • Requires regular attendance at least 5 days per week. Must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required.
  • The role is mainly office-based, however the candidate must be able to travel as required (minimum 25%) in both the UK and developing countries where these projects are being undertaken to gain a better understanding.
  • Whilst performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well is to infectious diseases.
